Hi Everyone,
First time on this board! My daughter and her live-in boyfriend are very excited about a trip we've offered to help out with at the beginning of July to the Yucatan. Here's the thing.. I'm having trouble reading between the lines on all the AI's and figuring out what would be right for them and I'm hoping someone might help! They are in their early 20's and really want to relax as they work long hard hours that don't coincide. They enjoy entertainment but aren't big party people. My daughter wants a really nice beach- no sand bags. I'm concerned about a mega resort that will swalllow them- although that doesn't seem to be something they're worried about. Cost is a definite concern! They've liked the look of the Grand Riviera Princess. Help! And thanks so much!! Barbara |

I would highly recommend the Barcelo. It has a wonderful beach and as far as I know there are no whales there. A huge property with much too choose from as far as what type of atmosphere you would like. If you want a more "lively" crowd stay at the "Beach". Farther down, I can't remember the names
is more up-scale and quiet and more $$. I hope this helps. Good luck!Last edited by michellei88 : 04-24-2008 at 03:51 PM. |

I would echo looking into the Barcelo.. The place is very nice, the beach is fantastic, and you are not that far from PDC if you wanted to pop into town up for the shopping, restaurants and bars (and the beach)..
