Definately Rancho Punta Venado. The horses are well cared for and the max number of riders per group is 20. When we went, it was myself, my wife and two daughters ... we had the place to ourselves.
Quite a difference from some of the other places where you ride with 60 or 70 other people on horses most of us would report to the ASPCA for neglect. I can't remember the name of it right now, but the place on the left sidfe of 307 before you hit Playa (from Cancun) was particularly bad. The condition of the horses made me a little upset. |

Mme D and I also had a great experience at Rancho Punta Venado. We were the only peeps so we each had a personal guide. Since there were no others they cancelled our transportation from PDC, but they did call the Playa Maya, where we were staying, and they got us a taxi, and informed us later when we stumbled in from 5th
