way into it

Tappy, Funjet is who we are booked through by Shammy. I must tell you though that we booked early and got non-stop flights(not available any more form Philly) and a great deal on the "Cat". All this has changed however with the rising oil/jet fuel prices. The package we booked 6 weeks ago is now almost $450 more with connecting flights instead of non-stop. Prices are only going to climb unless you can back in to a cancellation resevation.Hope everything works out for you and have a wonderful vacation.

Booked on AFVC and Spirit
We booked our AI at Aventura Palace back in January for 1 to 9 May through Armed Forces Vacation Club (AFVC). We think it was a good deal and I have not seen any better ones to date. The AFVC offers RCI vacancies to Govt, Military at 329.00 per week all over the US and abroad. Some are really good deals some not so much. For the AI resorts you still have to pay the All Inclusive fees but they went down 400.00 plus at the end of April. We booked our flights on SPIRIT - Dulles to Cancun via Ft. Lauderdale for under 200.00 each round trip. I have only flown Spirit a few times but have not had major problems. They were one of the first to charge for checked bagage -- 10.00 each in advance. If you watch the Spirit Web site they have some pretty good specials. I think they fly out of Philly too.
If you are not Govt or Military and you know someone who is they can gift a stay to friends and family several times a year. Good Luck

Just booked what I think is a pretty good deal for the Ibero Grand (believe they are running a special that ends this Wednesday) through a Travel Agent. The Agents I spoke to were all able to save hundreds over the website price that Apple & FJ provided for my dates....

We have always gotten a better deal by calling the various travel companies (aple, funjet, liberty, gwv). They each have thier 800 number on the website, and a "live person" is always more invested in getting your business so they will typically try to find you a lower price than is quoted for the same vacation online.
Good Luck! |
