Oh -

- just realized that a song would have been #1 for more than a day! duh... no, mine's on the 3rd of June! Wow, that'll really shut me up for the rest of the night

Well, you're STILL younger than me. Heartbreak Hotel was 1956!

Mine is "Poor People of Paris" by Les Baxter. I've never heard of that song or Les Baxter!

Yes... I'm old too.

Crap! Now I gotta go find some way to hear what that sounds like. Thanks, Jamey.

EDIT: Went and found a site with this piece of music on it. It's a ragtime orchestral piece, or sometimes just a piano. I've heard it many times. I recognized it alright, but I didn't know what it was called.
I didn't recognize the name. But as soon as I found the song out there on the www, I knew it right away. Also clicked on the Wikipedia link... I find it kinda neat that the song was written 34 years before it became a #1.

Yay!!! My favorite high school move theme song (Fast Times at Ridgemont High).

Mine is Light My Fire by the Doors. Nice.

ETA: DH's is Ringo by Lorne Greene. Huh? I found it on YouTube but don't know how to post those like above, so I won't.

Ok, before I look, I am going to guess that mine was that "War-wtf is it good for" song, by someone I don't know. I don't know why I think I know this, but I think that's it.

BRB.

Yes, I obviously must have done this before. "War," by Edwin Starr. Great to know that I was born during a war and that now I'm 37 years old and the country of my birth is yet again at war.
