Back From Paradise - Trip Report - Grand Sirenis
We just got back from the Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach Resort and we could not have been happier!! Prior to leaving I saw a trip report proclaiming that the resort was a 'DUMP' and I must say....I have no idea where those people must have stayed but, it wasnt at the Grand Sirenis!!! We travel Mexico often and we are quite the hotel snobs. This reosrt met and exceeded our every need and expectation.
ROOMS: spacious and clean. we also traveled with a baby and inlaws and we all had plenty of space. we joked that the baby had his own wing in the suite!! 1100 bldg was close to EVERYTHING and each bldg has its own concierge. POOLS: something for everyone. Lazy river was fun and relaxing, kids pool, 2 pools with swim-up bar and 1 pool with a health bar FOOD: amazing! we are personal trainers and try our best to eat healthy while away. You would be hard pressed to find anything fried here. Food was always hot and very well presented and prepared. ENTERTAINMENT: very proffesional, shows were excellent GROUNDS: magnificant, photos to follow.... STAFF/SERVICE: fell in love with everyone. They treated us like royalty. Remember, you are VISITING their country. If there is a language barier, whose fault is that?!? TRANSFERS: last but not least, we used Playa.Info transfers and the service was perfect. They were right there waiting at the airport, got us to hotel in an hour and remembered are carseat:-) All in all we had a beautiful stay and will return again. For those that felt this resort was a "dump" good luck to you finding a treasure Thanks again to this site for all of your help![]() ![]()

We stayed at the Grand Sirenis back in December and my husband and I had a great time. The resort is beautiful, food was good, the rooms were fanatastic. The only complaint I would have would be the beach was a bit rocky but the e'snorkelling was amazing right off shore. I would probably go back but like to try different resorts. That trip was our 11th trip to the area and we had a fantastic time.

Thanks for your trip report. It seems so much easier to find the 'bad' reviews than the good.
My family (My parents in their mid-50's, and my sister and I in our mid-20's) just booked a 2 week stay at the Grand Sirenis from Dec 21 to Jan 4, and I can hardly wait. My parents are 'old hats' at AI's, but this will be a first for my sister and I. I can hardly wait, and I think the GS looks fantastic! |
