I agree with the opponents. When I was living in India women living on the street kept offering me to buy their babies for $ 10 usd. Ther has been a market of organs in these poor countries for years now. Desperate people are selling their organs for much, much less than $ 150 usd, they are selling it for mere survival. Its a very sad reality. I would never sell one kidney for 6 million dollars, I don't need to. Noeone of us needs to. I would donate one to save my child or family from dying.

Hey, I have an idea: why not set guidelines for stem cell research after discarding religion-derived moral/ethical obstacles so that one day there will be organs available for all?
Sure, certain myths such as AIDS being a divinely-induced plague may, eventually be utterly dispelled, but then again who needs superstition to stand in the way of saving millions of lives? |
