Hechizo - Culinary Enchantment in Tulum

Rob and I heard a few excellent comments about a restaurant in Tulum called Hechizo. For his 40th birthday dinner, I made reservations. This is perhaps the best kept secret in Tulum. For a full review LOOK HERE.

Beautiful restaurant review, Michele.
The dishes at Hechizo look like works of art.

Vikki and I stopped by there in March. They weren't open but one of the owners (the wife) was nice enough to let us walk through and talked with us for a while. Beautiful little place tucked back in colorful foliage behind a coi pond.

My boss just came back from Tulum and had dinner there...he said it was amazing!

Michelle,
Have you written reviews for a living in a previous life?
You really brought your experience to life and now I have one more "must do" on my list for the next trip.
Thanks!

It was excellent. I plan on recreating it for fancy dinner parties.....if I ever have time to plan one.

What a fantastic review Michelle! We tried to make reservations last month - but there was no answer when we tried calling! So as we were down that way at La Zebra for the day, we did fortunately decide to do a recky of the place in the daylight so that we knew in the future where to go....good job too as it is definately easy to miss. Was hoping we could book it 1st wk in June when we are back but sounds like we will again be out of luck........we will persevere tho as this really looks like a unique place to go to....can't wait to try it!!

Do try to give them a call. Stefan mentioned that they may stay open for awhile on weekends if they get enough reservations. Can't hurt to try. Don't call on Monday as that is shopping day!

Great Review Michele! We have heard such great things about this restaurant, we cant wait to try it. Even chefs rave about this place. I understand they are closed from the end of May through October, so we may have to wait until fall to try it.
