. Then it has to be NOT a Senator (they have always lost since JFK, but wait all 3 candidates are Senators ) or cabinet member, probably a governor. Too bad it can't be Arnie (damn Constitution). Romney might be a good choice . Any better ideas??? |

Nothing major. He and another man and a woman were all staying together in the very private complex that we were also in. When I introduced myself to him as one of his constituents, I got the impression he was up to something he wished had no witnesses, though I never saw any particularly untoward behavior. I could have totally misinterpreted... They did avoid us from that point forward though.

I'm thinkin' McCain will be selecting (or have selected for him) someone from the religious right. Huckabee, Robertson, who knows.
I expect that the religious right is an important part of Republican demographics and the party leaders don't want to face their wrath. Oh, and super churches have deep pockets. |

I know it is unlikely at this point, but I think a Obama/Clinton ticket would do well at the polls. |

Point 2: It may have worked at some point, but now there is way too much venom flowing. |

Though I did root for the Bears the last time they were in the Super Bowl; so you may be right. |

running mates
I believe John McCain will choose Charlie Crist of Florida, or consider Huckabee to bring back the evangelical vote. Or Haley Barber of Mississippi.
I think that Obama must seriously consider Hillary, as long as he doesn't have to pay off her substantial campaign debt. Or Joe Biden, smart, tough guy who can take on the republicans as a #2. |
