Royal @ Playa del Carmen Question - Hockey?

6 of us are meeting 6 others and we are all staying at the Royal. This is the first time for everyone and a few of us guys are big hockey fans and with our Flyers in the play offs we wanted to know if there is a sports bar or a location that you have noticed people watching such events at?

We leave a week from tomorrow....yeaahhhh!

Tequilla Barrel had the hockey games on. The hamburguesas were great as well. You don't need to eat there but don't pass up the opportunity.

Where abouts is the "Tequilla Barrel" from The Royal?

Go straight out of your resort to 5th, take a left on 5th and the Tequila Barrel is about a 3 to 5 min. walk depending on your pace on the right hand side. Oh yeah, Phillys suck!!!! Habs rule!!!

It is right on 5th Ave. between Calle 10 & 12. That would make it nearly center between the ferry dock and the no-longer used cruise dock. Their web-site is:

Are you staying at the Royal which is somewhere near Calle 26?

You can watch the Flyers shock the world at End Zone on 5th between 12th and 14th. I think the seating situation is better here than Tequila Barrel.

The End Zone on 5th and Pinche Gringo (1st & 26 or 28th?) have hockey on several screens. Both have good food, too.
