1st 45 you bought?
I think mine was Oye Como Va by Santana; I guess I was predestined to fall in love with Mexico. The second was Backfield in Motion and I can not think of the group. It was years before I figured out why my mother was horrified. I didn't care about the lyrics, I just liked the song.
Amazingly my belt drive turntable still works, at least the last time I dug out some vynil. I hate to think what that rubber band will cost when it goes. I think my last stylus (I couldn't find just the needle) was like US$75. For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, ask you parents. My FIL has a great collection of 78's that we have no ability to play ![]() |
