Reef Club Playacar & Musty Rooms

I've read muchos reviews on the RC Playacar and more reviews than not mention the musty smell in the rooms.

Someone please tell me there are some rooms that do not have the musty smell! :o Will reserving a room on the 3rd floor help us avoid the musty odors?

Reef Club Musty Rooms

We will be staying at the Reef Club in two more weeks. I have also read about the musty rooms, but also read this about the Allegro Resort where we stayed last year, and did not find the room we occupied to smell musty at all! I will post a reply to your answer when we return, assuming you will not be there until after we return the first week in Sept. I always take a room deodorizer (like Glade plug-ins) with us just in case, but have seldom had to use them.

Musty Rooms?

We've found that sooner or later someone complains about the musty odor at most of the resorts...We've experienced it at the most of the resorts we've stayed at and some Caribbean islands we've visited!...I don't think it's anything more than the tropical heat and humidity combined with constant air conditioning...A lack of crisp, cooler air wafting through the rooms!!..

We also pack a room deodorizer and, more recently, Febreze...The only problem is that you seem to carry the smell back home with you in your clothes and luggage...
So get your laundry done quickly and spray your luggage with Febreze and put a dryer sheet in each bag when you put it away...It seems to help!...
