Wow! President Bush has made a HUGE sacrifice to show support for the war effort

He has given up golf!! Can you imagine? The man should be sainted.

Of course he also mentioned in the same interview if we elect a Democrat it will be doomsday for America.

Interview with President Bush - White House Transcript - Politico.com

Q Mr. President, you haven't been golfing in recent years. Is that related to Iraq?

THE PRESIDENT: Yes, it really is. I don't want some mom whose son may have recently died to see the Commander-in-Chief playing golf. I feel I owe it to the families to be as -- to be in solidarity as best as I can with them. And I think playing golf during a war just sends the wrong signal.

Q Mr. President, was there a particular moment or incident that brought you to that decision, or how did you come to that?

THE PRESIDENT: No, I remember when de Mello, who was at the U.N., got killed in Baghdad as a result of these murderers taking this good man's life. And I was playing golf -- I think I was in central Texas -- and they pulled me off the golf course and I said, it's just not worth it anymore to do.

De Mello was known as the very worst player on the planet.

Giving up golf is one of the highest sacrifices a Republican is likely to make.

I bet it was when he saw Fahrenheit 911, that clip where he was on a golf course giving a somber statement about Iraq, then he says 'Now watch this." and goes to hit his drive.
Didn't really make him look too sincere.

Well, I think he's on the right track.

I do think it quite unseemly to show the president playing with is balls during a time of war!

And talking about giving up stuff I must commend you on having given up your fins for Geofish Dive's "War Against The Predominant Southeasterly Current".

What day of the week do you get in? I could mosey on down to Akumal and deliver them myself.

Besides, I've never dived there but know/have a couple of friends who work locally so I could have the excuse of going on a reccie.

It's a though job but...

Mask?! What mask??!! Keeping on topic, you sure you're not following flawed intelligence?

I'm not giving up golf.
I've never played, but I'm not giving it up either.

It's obvious that Australia has a lot of fat asses there. I always thought that we in the US. had the corner market on obesity.
