Woke up Saturday morning to another perfect day in Akuma!!!l… well, perfect other than the fact that it would be our last full day in Akumal
 ...and then we’d be headin to the big city of Playa to finish our vacation  ……. Had another day with no real agenda to stress about, the only thing I really wanted to do was run down to Tankah and see if I could find our friend Lalo at his restaurant………… girls woke up kinda late again, so I shoulda been mean and make them scrounge up something to cook for breakfast, but instead, I suggested we just cruise down to Turtle Bay Bakery……. always a great place for breakfast but they give you A LOT of food there !!!…….. I had an awesome scramble egg skillet thingie with sausage and stuff mixed in…….. can’t remember what Hot Donna had, but I do remember Lil G was slammin mimosas  ……… after breakfast, we kinda wandered around the little market area across from the Super Chomak…… met a nice senora that makes beach jewelry and stuff and commissioned her to make a little silver heart necklace for my mother …….. nothing really special, just a black cord necklace and cheap silver, but wadda you expect for 80 pesos and a one hour turnaround???…….. she had some really nice stuff, most of it handmade there at her store…….. told the senora I’d be back in an hour or so and then we wandered over to Lol-ha for some ..... well.... for some BMDJs of course   ………… I don’t know what is more intoxicating at Lol-ha, the drinks or the view …. Sucks To Be Me Pic# 6  After a while, we noticed some skinny dude with biceps claiming a spot of beach just north of the bar…….  “hay !!!…….. that looks like Babaloo !!!” yep, sure was!!!…. He was hangin out with the TnTWalters, Trish and Tim ……. Sweet couple…. But I wasn’t about to ask Tim to arm wrestle since he kinda looked like one of those Ultimate Fighter dudes ……… ‘Loo was not only showin them Akumal Bay, he was actually cutting them up some fresh mangos for a snack!!!…….. WTF  !!!……… we hung out with him all day Thursday and he didn’t cut us up one damn fresh mango  …… all he did was tell us 237 times how hungry he was !!!……… well…… next time ‘Loo…… bring some damn mangos !!!……….. TnTs went snorkeling for a while, So ‘Loo joined us up at the palapa………. But wait a minute ………. When I left the table a few minutes ago, there was a full shot of Don Julio anejo at my spot………. And now…… I GOT NUTHIN !!! ………… Donna pleaded guilty but I just didn’t believe her  …. She didn’t look quite guilty enough  ……… now Lil G, she looked guilty …… TnT finished their snorkel adventure, but unfortunately, they didn’t see any turtles ……. TnTs didn’t stick around long, they were off to Playa for a couple of nites before leaving and ‘Loo was kind enough to give them a daytrip ride  ……. after a while, I went back and picked up my necklace from the senora……. It turned out nice…. Nothin really special, but I knew it would make mom cry……… also picked up a very pretty sand/wood tortuga necklace ……. The price tag said $350p, but when I checked my wallet, I only had $220p…….. so the senora cracks a little smile and tells me“ it’s OK…….. 350 is the Italian price” …..  too funny……… went back to Lol-ha and surprised Lil G with her necklace and then I remembered that we still had to make another attempt to see Lalo…… Donna was up for a quick road trip, so we all jumped in the Mark 5 and hit the highway southbound  ……… soon, we pulled in to Oscar y Lalos, but Lalo’s truck wasn’t there …… figured we’d at least have a drink and check out the restaurant and gardens…….. asked one of the girls there if Lalo would be back… she told me he went up to Playa and wouldn’t be back today ………. So, me and Donna ordered up margaritas and Lil G got herself a Modelo……. Donna started freakin on out the amount of Don Julio the girl was putting in our drinks….. more is good !!!….. we’ve watched a lot of the waitstaff grow up over the last 10 years, so I just figured she remembered me and Terri….. or, since I had an O&L’s shirt on, she may have figured I was one of Lalo’s long lost gringo sons …….. whatever… I got 4 or 5 shots of Don Julio in my margarita for 40 pesos……… I wandered around and checked out the new landscaping….….   Pretty nice jungle Lalo is creatin here !!!……… complete with wildlife !!!!!!  …………well BUMMER !!!……… no Lalo !!!….. this is a major disappointment !!!……. well….since we were already in Tankah….. and Casa Cenote was just a few minutes away ….. I asked the girls if they wanted to stop by there……. For just a few minutes …… yep, they were all for it !!!…….. so we bumped our way down the road and soon were sittin around , havin some BMDJs and BS’n with Gary again   ……. My buddy Pintar came up and hung out with us for a while…. He’s startin to get old now…….  Sucks To Be Me Pic #7  Well, about 3 hours later, Donna starts getting all silly on us ….. I remember Donna didn’t eat much for breakfast and we hadn’t had any lunch…… hmmm……… and she just poured the rest of her margarita into my glass  !!!……. she’s dunk !!!………. looked at Gary and said“Dude, we gotta get her some food ……… fast !!!!………. some of them lobster McNuggets !!!” apparently, Donna mumbled “and a hamburger” she really hadn’t had much too drink during the day, but I’m pretty sure she was dehydrated from her sunburn, and that, along with not much food, just sent her spinnin……… Donna seemed to dig the burger more than the lobster McNuggets since I spent the next 30 minutes wiping mustard off Hot Donna’s hand and face……. oh the photo ops I had  ........After the burger was fully destroyed, I asked her if she wanted to go home….“Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees……. I waaaaaaaaaaaaaana gooooooo home pleeeeeez” so, we said our goodbyes to Gary, told him we’d be back in the morning for the Sunday beach BBBQ and then I drunk danced Hot Donna out to the Mark V...... opened up the back door..... and shoved her in !!!……… she curled up with her coconut boyfriend and passed out……… I have the cutest picture of her with her sweet coconut ….......but I promised not to post it  took about 15 minutes to get home, and I told Lil G to go upstairs, open the front door, and then, open Donna’s bedroom door……. So, Lil G stumbles upstairs while I hope and pray she can actually get the task done  ……. I woke Donna up and drunk danced her up the stairs…… she swerved to the left and tried to sleep with the neighbors ..... but I expertly spun her back around and carefully guided her thru the front door (without causing any bodily injuries), spun her to the right, threw her in the bed, turned the A/C on and said“nite nite Donna” “nite nite scittix”……… she was done for the day ……….. a few minutes later, Lil G passed out on the couch….. she was done for the day too ……….. great!!!…….. .....it’s like 8:10 and BOTH of the girls are passed out ……….. a golden opportunity to sneak off to La Buena Vida and have some fun !!!………. but, I quickly remember what kinda grief sneakin off to the bar alone caused me on my last trip to Mexico ……. So I ended up on the balcony sippin some Maestro Tequilero …….. it was getting pretty dark, so I figured I’d go ahead and crash out for the nite……… walked into the bedroom…… looked at the clock……… 9:03 ….“oh hell no !!!…….. no way can I go to sleep at 9:03 on my vacation…. That’s just wrong”…….So I stayed up till about 10:30 sippin Maestro on the balcony and watchin ESPN …….another good day in Just A Chillin Trip !!!

Wow, the pictures in my head of us being with you are just as vivid... dammit.
I'm so glad to hear you guys had such a good time. Wish we could have been there to join you. I'll be seeing you soon though, don't you fret Great report sweets... can't wait to see you guys!XOXO, Laura |

Love this report!!
I just don't know how you guys do it. It actually made me feel good to read that the girls crashed early, finally!!! I just can't drink all day and night anymore. It's one, or the other! Mas, por favor!!

what afantastic report....we love akumal and were thinking of just going there so i am taking notes of all the great places and things you did..thanks for sharing and we really wish we had been able to visit with you in a smaller group...hopefully another time!!!
looking forward to more!!
