Location of ATMs that disperse $5000 pesos?

Hi all!

Does anyone know where the ATMs that disperse $5000 pesos are? I understand that there are several ATMs that disperse $3000, but I'm looking to get a little more out in order to make fewer ATM trips.

Thanks in advance! :P

Try the Scotia Inverlat that is across the street from the bus station. I believe it will give you 5000 even though the posted limit is less. Anna (who has more experience taking out money...) says that more and more machines in town are allowing higher withdrawals.

Remember that your card may also have limits placed on withdrawals from foreign countries. I could only take out about 270 dollars at a time here in Sweden (we're on vacation.) YMMV

I sure think I've gotten more than 3000 pesos at the ATM in the Banamex on the corner of 10th Avenue and calle 12. Not sure what the limit is, but I may have gotten 5000 pesos. It's worth a try.

We have a limit of $500USD on our ATM cards, and the Banamex on the corner of 10th Ave and 12th Street lets us take out however many pesos that translates into on any given day. It also dispenses larger denomination bills than most.

We have also had no trouble taking out our limit at BanNorte on the corner of 10th Ave and 8th Street.

ATM's

You can get up to $6000 pesos at the ATM located in front of the Plaza Antigua. I've done that many times.

Pesos at the Banamex

The money machine at the corner of 10th and 12th has always been reliable. I have not kept an accurate record of exactly what I get in denominations but when I ask for $5000 the wad that is spewed out usually has about 3000 in 500 peso bills, and the rest in 200 and 100 bills.

The Banamex? We were just down last week and 2 out of the 5 times we went to the ATMs, both of them were busted and not dispensing money. Not catastrophic, but a pain for sure. Of course, then we had the comedy relief of trying to explain to French and German tourists not to waste their time :P
