la buena vida trip report 2008

i am going to give this a try...flight out of santa barbara on time (last year it was cancelled

)so far a good start..flight fron pheo nix to cancun on time (last year 1 1/2 hr delay

)flight is not full so we have an empty seat between us..almost like 1st class

..la buena vida..get luggage and get in line..oh wait there is a special line for mexican citizens and no one is in it..and abourt 100people in the other line..do i dare..hell yes!!la buena vida..sorry ..but i have to take advantage of the perks and i decide to be nice and take john with me

..i tell john what i learned here do not stop to visit..keep walking and go out the door to rite past coconuts and pay for bus and hop on..perfect timing..la buena vida...okay now you know the theme so from now on it will be LBV!!!we finally arrive at la luna blue (i won the pet auction item of 3 days with champagne and chocolates!)first thing first...a drink at the bar!!!la sarita be careful or be naughty drink?..cant remember but it was good!!jose the bartender made us feel welcomed

A new trip report! Great start and I am looking forward to reading the rest!!

alittle more about our room ..we are on the 3rd floor..and its alittle scary going up sober...hmm we maybe sleeping at the bottom of the stairs after the bar crawl...or literally crawling up the stairs...

we figure we should get some food and we are famished so we go to Quinta passion 2 doors downand find tacos and margaritas..while waiting i see a girl and her family go by..hmm could it be...kinda looks like melissa ..do i chase after her..yell out her name...what if its not her and this lady thinks im psycho...so i take the risk see nick first and ask are you nick..yes he responds looking at me like ????anyways finally meet melissa and family...super people!..back at quinta i tell john i meet the first peeps!!

..owner gives us another margarita on the house and some mexican coffe..bill was rite but there was atax..we didnt bother ?? itsince we got some freebies..now time to get ready for the BAR CRAWL ..now remember we have been up since 4:30..but i hear in my head "make me proud.all the way from california.(MikeW)..pace yourself come to my mind....

the crawl starts out at kitxen...we walk by and dont recognize anyone...now i am aliittle shy around big groups so we walk down look in a few stores head back and i see agroup...well i decide this is my chance to get to meet peeps i have been looking forword to meeting so i decide i will introduce myself to as many as i can because that is why i am here.. and i know some are leaving tomorrow..be brave

syl!!trish is one of the first and she takes all the fear away..she was really friendly then i met andea. then sara then suzy then heather.then scott.then karen and david. they all couldnt be nicer...some were just stopping by to say hi so i was glad i made the effort to atleast meet them just in case i dont get to see then later..the bar crawl continues.... forming

around now i meet andy..ray and helen.. i met jimmy earlier at luna...that was a bonus..didnt know he was going to be there..a fun guy! also met donna and vanessa ..jami.. kevin. tonya and harold(felt like we knew them from a previous life ).i have to say the gals at this event were ones i would love to party with again
