Iberostar Quetzal Trip Report May 2008

Thanks for the trip report and love the photos. We'll be at IB Toucan the end of August and the time is moving painfully slow.

Aw, I'm jealous you'll be there in August. I know don't the last two months draaaaag?

I love it there! Would not go anywhere else. It is a great resort, and the service and the staff are a+ . It also helps to really know your way around after a night at the disco!

Just back from some work travel so able to put up my last day/night pictures. On the last day, mom and I walked down Paseo Xaman-Ha, the road on which our resort is located. I love the building structures in Mexico, the stone, design and colour. And I love the well manicured lawns. Come and take a walk down:

I brought mom a tequila shooter for our last night (think I poured a little too much salt on her wrist)











We really treasured two Star Friends, Lara and Kerri



And danced up a storm

At the night entertainment I had a long chat with a Star Friend dancer who's from my province of Saskatchewan. Her name is Kerri and she is a super accomplished and lively woman who's moved back to Saskatchewan now, but plans to live in Mexico in the future.


Great report and how fun to see that you met Star Friend Kerri! She befriended my boys last summer and danced with both of them (as well as me). My eldest son was not too thrilled but my little 3 year old was beaming from ear to ear!

Thanks, I'm glad you liked the report. I met Kerri the first time I came to IB Quetzal and was lucky to see her this 2nd time because she was leaving for Saskatchewan a week after we left. They sure treat their guests like family.
