It was much the same in Playa yesterday Suzie, very hot and sunny but with black skies hovering on the outskirts. Come 5.30pm the thunder and rain started but its helped to clear the air a bit. Its sunny now with a little cloud but nowhere near as warm and muggy as yesterday.....so far!!

It's raining right now, throw in a little thunder and lightening and there you have today's weather report!

Its one of the better thunderstorms we've seen here. Seems to be tapering off now but I think it's going to be a "Plan B" day today. Oh well, it's a warm rain.

El Nino, they say....there has been a ton of rain at many of the Pacific coast resorts too.

Last week in PV it rained two days, socked in rain. Very unusual for this time of year. I am hoping we get nice and sunny weather there next week. At least it is hot!

Next winter?

I don't really know, but this link says it is "expected to persist through winter 2010.."

NOAA says “El Niño arrives; Expected to Persist through Winter 2009-10″ — and that means record temperatures are coming and this will be the hottest decade on record Climate Progress
