We are flying in on Saturday (fingers crossed!) - looks like the first couple days may be stormy. Other than an umbrella, is there anything special I need to pack?

If I were in Playa I would be stocking up on beer,they don't sell it at the stores during a hurricane watch or warning.
Found this out the hard way.

I was there the day Paula was supposed to hit, yeah I bought some beer to get me through, but ended up giving it to the guy at the hotel front desk when I left.
All we got that day was two rain showers, one of them forced me to have a few beers at the tequila barrel, where I was entertained by this little girl dancing in the rain.

not a gust of wind more than 10 mph

and the fiscales shut down carrie's "paula party"

These non-event storms are just dress rehersal for the real ones; not to be taken lightly.

Scheduled to arrive in Cancun via NYC around 1PM local time Monday...now I gotta cross my fingers that our flight doesn't get cancelled...I hope this Richard storm fades really fast!!!
