The sat image says Katia, PDS's creation, although he won't claim parentage and the costs that go with it.

Katia is far away and it is nice and dry in Merida, which is closer to Katia than is Playa.

The high-altitude intellcast sat link showed a west-to-east blow by Katia last night and early morning, but it now also shows an east-to-west blow from Irma, the two meeting directly overhead and blowing past each other, but no rain, just wispy clouds indicating high-altitude wind flow. Sunny here after a big rain last night though, from the west.

I purposely left a trail of bread crumbs to show how much a weather dolt you are. The rain we had last night was rain. It happens when enough humidity builds up over the day and the skies let loose at night. Katia is the blob that passed over us early last weekend and you were claiming looked, walked and quacked like a remnant of Lidia. Follow my posts as I tracked it all the way to where it is now. It was tropical wave that I posted a chart of that started just south of us, moved north a tad and then west. I had a good feeling it was gonna change into something, so I gave it the name Remanant beam-eye (walking, talking and dancing like Lidia).

Numerical models still in pretty good agreement. But just the slightest differences seen in the spread could make a big difference in impact.

Looks like that limb is going to break. I am thinking that you might be very wrong. But I am not going to cancel my flight to Fort Lauderdale next Wednesday, that is, not unless Jet Blue cancels the flight for me

That'll happen on the same day the sun rises in the west.
