...sorry, can't say it isn't true...sounds like the tropics in june...the storms usually move through quickly and make the lush foilage and beautiful flowers shine...besides, it gives you an excuse to get under a roof somewhere and drink some wonderful cervezas and tequila...try not to worry too much about the weather, it changes quickly...besides, it'll put frown lines in that great new tan you'll be sporting...

Sunny, cloudy, sunny, cloudy - no rain (even though it always says rain). What it WILL do though, is be VERY VERY hot and humid. Wish I brought a baseball cap - not that my frizz head would fit under it however...

A thunderstorm would be welcome here right now, and a thunderstorm is just what it says, thunder, lightning, rain and it is gone. Cools and cleans the air.

I too was just freaking out looking at the weather. So I used the handy dandy "search" feature (aren't you all so very proud of me?) and found this lovely thread!

Thank you to all the locals and Playa regulars for putting my mind at ease...

Sitting here on the deck all day at the Beach Club that used to be "BANG" and now is "BLISS" and the weather has been without rain all day and as someone else mentioned there were moments during the day that the caribbean was so flat with at least 5 shades of blues and an incredible view of Cozumel.

Right now there is a light breeze off the ocean and no humidity, wife is sitting on one of the covered beds playing Solitare and was even complaining about something. I said there is no other place I would rather be with the beautiful view of the caribbean and island.

Here at "Bang" or "Bliss" they have a $5.00 Breakfast or $3.00 continental, the coffee is great (but large cups) swings at the bar and a swimming pool with a jacuzzi in the center more or less.

I believe July 1 the restaurant inside will open with a gourmet menu, a large bar with "laptops" to check your e-mails and stuff and mmm can't remember what else. Ah yes, a buffet breakfast like the captains cove in Cancun for I think $10 dollars. There are some guys giving out coupons for the breakfasts and a happy hour 2 X 1 from 5 to 7.

I don't ususally get around to the beach clubs but since we got a call from Kool for having events and weddings there (the wife that is) we have been exploring the different places.

Some of the others we have encountered were like La Ruina (very bad shape right now), Mamitas (not at all a favorite of mine) Kool, Fusion (again not a favorite) and Zenzi (forgive the spelling).

It is going to be interesting the Transition From Bang to Bliss at this club.

Lets all hope for good weather because I am planning another day at the beach tomorrow.

Ahhh also for those who are going to come for 4th of July I think they are having a beach party with a Bikini Fashion Show, some kind of fire show or something and Open Bar for 6 hours, and all you can eat style like the volunteer firefighters had back in New Jersey years ago, Sausage and Peppers, Cheese Steaks, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Corn on the Cob and Beer on TAP. Someone is supposed to give me an e-mail address or something for more information.

Where is this beach club in relation to other places on the beach? Is it near Zenzi or on that stretch of beach or in the north end? Sounds like a great place!

It is located on the beach between 4th and 6th streets. The closest other place is Fusion to the north and mmm I think there is another one to the south but has no name, might have at one time been called the Pirate or something.

Yes, we love the club and we actually or wife actually found it one day walking the beach looking for wedding locations for a bride she was handling the wedding and reception for.

The restaurant inside with a gourmet menu and every table overlooking the pool, beach and caribean seems quite unique to me but maybe because I don't get out alot. Did I mention Air Conditioning?

Today we met a couple for Luna Encantada who are like us (Mexican married to an American) and just a lovely couple who introduced us to Jerry who is opening a restaurant as well where El Faro is being built (condos) but he seems to be quite behind it getting finished.

Anyway, the 4th of July Party is $70 US per person for anyone who wants to know which I think is a deal and a half for what they are offering. Any other parties out there? Been to the Zenzi BBQ but was not quite what I thought it would be.
