We were there for a week, just got back this past Saturday (hi Al!) and the weather was pretty damn good.

It only rained three times in the whole week, and for a very short time each. Blue skies except for last Thursday and Friday afternoon/evening, which was actually welcome as it was not so hot. Quite humid, but not so hot that it was unbearable. We would go again in August.

Sigh. I didn't know you were both here or I would have popped out for a drink

I've been too wrapped up in work etc.

Weather

I'm headed to PDC in 13 days, as i check the weather reports, it states rain every day for the next 10. The same weather reports have stated rain the last 3 days, yet no rainfall as far as i can tell. Every time i check the webcam, its sunny and nice...is this typical..?

Babaloo doesn't mince words.

It said the same thing the whole two weeks we were there and it would rain for about 5 or 10 minutes, sometimes really heavy rain, then the sun would come back out. We went about 5 or 6 days without a drop of rain and the weather website said 50% chance of rain.

There was a 70% chance of rain each day I am here (which is now) and it hasn't rained once. What it should say is you have a 70% chance of sweatin yer arse off cause that's more likely going to be what happens!

The fella is making me laugh at the minute.

He has the weather report for Playa on his phone and EVERY SINGLE DAY for the past year or so that he's had the phone it has predicted rain/lightening every day and he's always laughed about how it always says that but is never like that. Everytime we've been we've had 10 mins of rain on the odd day, apart from one day out of the three trips where it did rain pretty much all day. And of course the 6 weeks of glorious sunshine we've enjoyed there has all been when the weather has been predicted as raining every day.

Now that we are going he's acting like he's worried that it's saying it's raining every day even though he knows its complete rubbish

I did the same thing a few weeks ago...knowing full well the weather would be fine. My problem is that I fear a hurricane will arrive while we're there.

Ok, I know, I know, I shouldn't worry about the weather for my upcoming vacation.... but I couldn't help myself and have been checking the weather forecast. So.... for the last couple of weeks, the forecast has been pretty good.... a lot of little sun icons with an occasional cloud, or chance of rain, but still always with the SUN icons.

Today I check the 15 day forecast (we leave on the 25th and return on the 29th) and look at how the icons change from SUN to NO SUN and rain clouds!!!

Come on give me a break! We were only there 4 nights last year and had more rain than I would have liked. I was really optimistic that this year would be different.

Ok, done my rant for now... I know I can't change it, so I hope those little icons are wrong

Stop it!
You know better.
Do you want us to tell you that the forecast is right? Like we would know

It's hot. It's sunny. There are clouds in the sky. It may rain. I hope so.
But it probably won't.
Sheesh.

But I am greatly appreciative that you didn't start a new thread on this

OK, ok You're right I do know better, but it's just human nature to want nice weather on your vacation, especially for such a short vacation.

I mean you LIVE there for heaven's sake, so I know you're not worried about the weather

The weather should be fine.
Check out this site and see if anything is headed this way
It's the only thing you have to worry about - if at all.

And right now...there is nothing out there
