tours on our own???

Hi Everyone,
Our trip to ASP is about one month away!!!! Mostly everyone is saying to rent a car and do the ruins, but will two girls be safe doing this on our own??? Dorish34

You would be safe plus you would have the freedom to check out the beachfront cabañas (fantastic beaches) south of Tulum and Tulum Pueblo. This would be a great day-trip. If you are not familiar with the area, I would advise you to not drive at night...poor visibility, animals, pot holes, or car trouble.

Thanks for the info. Would you be able to tell me the distance between ASP and the Dolphin Discovery located in Aventuras? They are charging $15.00 round trip per person. I thought it might be cheaper to take a taxi, or do you think this an ok price? Thanks again.

We used bikes provided by ASP and rode to Aventuras. Took about 10 minutes.

We rented a car and drove as far south as Tulum City. I felt perfectly safe. I don't think you'll have any problems at all.
