THE ROYAL — Adventure

Hello Everyone,
1st off thank you so much for keeping this forum so informative!
Best site EVER!
So here I am an official member.

We are booked to stay at the Royal for our honeymoon from October 7th to the 14th.

We are interested in a few tours.
What tours/or tour companies would you all suggest for the following:
an ATV tour,
a zip line tour,
rappelling into a cenote
and I have also read on a trip report about a catamaran/ submarine thing.

I would love to hear what you guys and gals would suggest.
thank you, thank you, thank you, for any help.

No advice on the tours you mentioned, however (as a fellow New Englander!) I wanted to say Congratulations and have an incredible time at the Royal. Hubby and I honeymooned there last year and plan on returning in January. It was that phenomenal. Playa will definitely capture your heart. Enjoy every minute (I don't doubt that you will!)

I would suggest going to the homepage here of playa.info and check out their tours, everyone raves about them. The Tulum and Beyond includes some cenotes, so you may like that one. Fat Cat Catamaran is also on there.
We are heading to the Royal in 18 days, so watch for our trip report. Enjoy your visit to Paradise.

I would HIGHLY recommend the Mayan Encounter tour that you can book through the planning page here on the website. It was wonderful!!!

We were picked up right on time by our guide, Mario, in a 14 passenger van. After picking up some other folks, we headed to Coba. There we had an official Coba guide explain some of the history to us. Then we had about an hour to explore on our on so we rented bikes and went to the main pyramid.

After Coba, Mario took us to a Mayan village where we ziplined, experienced a good luck Mayan ceremony, rapelled into a cenote, and canoed on a lake. After all this activity we had a Mayan lunch.

Mario was fun, infomative and professional. Our group consisted of 13 people so we were never rushed.
