I can't tell you what a great time I had yesterday. So many people I love in one place, and I also had friends in from Isla Mujeres and Akumal to share the afternoon/evening. I can't think of anywhere I would have rather celebrated my 4 year anniversary of moving to Playa del Carmen. The pet shelter raised a bunch of money, everyone got to hear great live music, and I got to kiss many, many friends on the cheek.

Sometimes,, however, you're so damned grateful to see an old friend looking healthy and sounding great that you've just got to kiss his cowboy boot.

Ya know, Grady doesn't even know me, but I woulda considered kissing his boot too, I was SO pleased to see how much better he looked. The man probably looks his age now (maybe even younger, since I have no clue how old he is) instead of 90, and he is the picture of health - smiling, lucid, happy to be in Playa all over his being. Wonderful to see him looking great!
