Question Royal Haciendas - Questions

Hi All!

The wife and I are headed to PdC for a stay at the Royal Haciendas in mid August. It will be our 2rd trip to the area. Not a lot of info on this particular t/s resort.

I will continue to browse the sight, but I have a few questions for those "in the know"..

How is the beach at the resort?
Restaurants on site?
Closest / Best market for groceries?
How far to 5th Ave in PdC? Transportation?
Ideas for a 1 year anniversary dinner?
Where can I buy good cigars?

We don't plan on doing much outside the resort. We like to lounge at the beach. Maybe do a little shopping / dining in town on a couple evenings. Any info regarding the resort and area will be appreciated very much. Thank you in advance.

Happy travels!

Playa is no where near Puerto Vallarta. It's on the opposite coast.

Anyone... anyone?

Wow! Not much feedback on this resort. Oh well... maybe we'll have the place all to ourselves!

The lack of feedback is because it's really not considered a "resort" - it's a timeshare property. Not sure but I don't think there's an all inclusive option either? Might be wrong, don't book timeshares so I personally don't have any info at all - sorry.

Royal Haciendas

We own at Royal Haciendas (week #33- Aug. 16-23 this year). You can check out the resort at Royal Resorts, The best vacation ownership in Cancun.
1) The beach is nice. Not much for waves- nice and calm waters. Parts in the water are rocky (bring aqua shoes). Other parts are sandy and easy to walk through.
2) They have a nice restaurant on-site (good breakfast buffet), plus they have excellent food at the pool bars.
3) Head into PDC for groceries or there is a small store on-site.
4) About a 30 minute (by beach) walk or 5 minute cab ride into PDC.
5) 1st anniversary dinner. Man, that was so long ago! Not sure myself, head into PDC- a ton of places that will catch your eye.
6) Not sure about cigars. Again, waltz through PDC- you'll find something.
Have fun!

After reading that Shammy had no info... I thought all was lost. I'm not going to get any info on this place. She's the Queen of info on this site IMHO!

Then I came to the resolve that my wife and I along with Rachael and her group would be the only ones there.

But all is not lost... Rich and Linda own the same week ( 08/ 14 - 08/23 )we'll be there! Will you be there at that time? Maybe we will meet at the pool bar. Thanks for the info!

We will be there for sure! Make sure you attend the Welcome Party on Sunday (I think it's at noon or 1). It's a lot of fun! Free beer and rum and cokes! We're in the first phase.
I'm sure it will be great. It was great last year, even with Hurricane Dean paying a visit to the south.

Smile Be there next week...

My mother-in-law is at the RH this week (Sept. 13-20) w/friends and will be there next week as well with US visiting (Sept. 20-27). Anyone else going to be around? My MIL bought in two years ago and this is our Christmas gift (last year) from her. Six days to go and I can't wait!!!! Vacation is needed so badly!
Hubby and I want to do some fun stuff while down there. We're 33 yrs., any suggestions for this couple with a two year old at home in need of a GREAT vaca?
