We have stayed at this resort twice and we love it, the staff are very friendly it is one off the better resorts that we have been too.We are going to the Grand Sunset Princess in October so we will have to see, hopefully it will be as nice has the Palladium. But you are in heaven just being in the the Mexico.

More info on Palladium pleeze :)

Your pics were great and comments are motivating. We are looking at booking at GP and a sandy beach with trees is our #1 request. Hubby, me, my 2 & 4 yr olds and gramma/grampa are all going. If you had the opp to go to all the GP resorts, which one had the best beach? Is there one part of the complex that a family would be happiest in your opinion?

4thesun,
I have been to the Palladium twice. I feel the best beach is on the Kantenah section. It is beautiful and spread out and not rocky, as parts of the Colonial beach are. Any part of the resort, except the more exclusive Royal Riviera, would be appropriate for a family. I've stayed on the Kantenah side and the Colonial side. I prefer these over the newer White Sands and Riviera sections, but that's just me.
You can't go wrong with the Grand Palladium.

Thanks for the Trip Report and Pics LinnySue!!! Great stuff!

I wanted a romantic vacation with my boyfriend and our travel agent recommended the GP Kantenah. I was a bit worried because this was probably one of the only resorts I hadn't researched. But given your comments and those found on Palladiumaddicts... it looks like our travel agent did more than a great job with this pick. We can't wait only 11 more days!

You will LOVE it! You can make a room request. I did, and got exactly what I wanted. The corner rooms are great as you can tell from my photos. Palladiumaddicts can help you with making a room request. I wish I was going. We are still getting cold and snow. I am so sick of it.

I'm glad you liked my report. Have a great time at the GP! I know you will.

Thanks Linnysue! Yes agreed on the snow and cold weather... doesn't Mother Nature know it's supposed to be spring?

The corner room looked great from your pics! Unfortunately, due to budget we only booked a Standard Room. However, a week in paradise will be anything but standard

Well, you're not in your room that much anyway. Too many great things to do. The Kantenah side is beautiful. Anywhere on the resort is spectacular. I think the only place I wouldn't want to be is placed all the way at the end in the Riviera section. It just seemed too far from everything, but they do have the salt pool on that end with it's own bar. Well, just thinking about it, anywhere you land on the resort is total and absolute paradise. Take some walks north and check out the turtle nesting areas, but don't walk inside them or disturb. The beaches and aqua waters on that walk are absolutely breathtaking. Talk about romantic, no one is around! There were times on that walk we were completely alone.

She hasn't been on this site for 2.5 years so I don't think she's going to see your message.

I don't know of any 2 bedroom suites at the Palladium White Sands. There are jr. suites, 1 bedroom suites and Mayan suites. As far as ocean view, most rooms are set back into the jungle. Some might have a slight ocean view but no rooms are specifically categorized as "ocean view" so room location is left up to chance. Room requests are never guaranteed, they are based upon availability at the time of check in. Best chance for a view would be in buildings 57-59.

You can send a request about a week before you go to:

recepcion.whitesandriviera@fiestahotelgroup.com

You need to include your booking number, tour operator (or where you booked your trip), names, dates of stay. You should also mention that you're traveling with other people because there's also no guarantee where their room would be located in relation to yours. So that's something else you'll need to request. Lastly, if you used a travel agent, you should have them take care of this for you.
