Seeking the Sun - Trip to Boise

We drove over to Boise, Idaho last Friday to visit Sol and her partner, Dave.

Took some photos that are maybe uploading now.

We have been excited about this trip. We met Sol at the Umbrella Day Peep Meet, and saw her again and met Dave at the Oregon Country Fair about a year ago. That link will take you to the the page on which that trip report starts.

Anyway, it turned out to be about a 440 mile road trip through the Columbia River Gorge and across the high desert country of Central and Eastern Oregon into Idaho.

When moree photos upload successfully, I will post some along with more narrative. Sol took photos also and I hope she posts some of hers. We didn't take many, though. In the meantime, here is our might steed (aka Stubby) that took us there and back so well

Okay.

There was cold Oly, but I am not much of a beer drinker these days.

There was also chilled Don Julio, Centenario to which we added some Cazadores.

As well as Coors Light and an assortment of Henry Weinhart's beers. (that is Dave's fault....the snob.)

We did have a great time! No 16 oz bottles...I bought a case of the 12 oz bottles at Costco.

My favorite Rainier commercial was the guy on the motorcycle, driving down the highway on the farside of the mountain...
RAAAAAAAI.....NNNNNEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRR.......BEEEERR RRRRRRRR....
P.S. We called 'em Raindogs at UW.
