Iberostar Paraiso Beach/Del Mar trip report
Thanks for all the great tips on this forum! We recently returned from the Iberostar Paraiso Beach and loved it.
Our trip report is at http://www.ramproductions.com/survey/tripdisp.asp?tid=709. We liked the Mayan Riviera area, the Funjet value, and the Iberostar accommodations so much that we have already booked the Iberostar Tucan/Quetzal for January. |

Iberostar Paraiso Lindo
Am interested in Paraiso Lindo for next August. Traveling with 2 children and another family. Have been to Palladiam in Riviera Maya loved it. Will Lindo be separate from the other part of the resort with its own pool/beach etc or will one have to walk even further to the attractions. Your review was wonderful and am looking forward to your reply

The Lindo is a seperate resort. Not only does it have it's own 3 mile beach, it has a winding river pool, an activities pool, a wave pool, a children's pool and 2 lake pools!!! :o
It is located directly next to the Iberostar Paraiso and you can eat or drink at any of their restaurant/bars but they cannot eat/drink at the Lindo's. Gonna be a great place! :P |

Susan, you might be interested in Funjet's property description for the Lindo, at http://www.funjet.com/cgi-bin/hotelControl/IFJHotel.asp?code=CUNIPLN^^^ . I assume the picture is an artist's rendering, since it sure didn't look that nearly completed three weeks ago! But the way it's shown, it looks like it's just as long from beach to restaurants as the Beach and Del Mar. (Those resorts would be parallel and to the right in the Funjet picture.) So there will probably be a good bit of walking.
I had also heard that Del Mar and Beach guests couldn't visit the Lindo, but the Funjet description states that there are reciprocal visiting privileges, both directions. (See under "Special Inclusions".) If that's true, then there would be even more potential walking! We enjoyed the walking, even in the August heat, because the properties are so beautiful. But I would think twice about these resorts if walking is difficult for any member of your party, unless you don't mind waiting 20 minutes for the tram. Maybe we were just unlucky, but that's how long we usually had to wait, and we heard others voicing the same experience. That's just about the only negative thing I could say about these resorts, though. ![]() |
