'brides'
I think most hotels will let brides take off their wrist bands for the wedding......and then I think they may have to pay a dollar to get it put back....I am not absolutely sure about this so please don't quote me........but I have heard somewhere that on special occasions there are concessions about this.........if not why not? LOL
.....as for putting the bands on the ankles! ..soo funny I would stand no chance of cocking my leg up to the reception desk! LOL especially the Tucan desk it is soo high up! (I am 70 years young!) LOL......but I would give it a go all the same!! but not a pretty sight!! oh dear!

We asked (especially for the little kids) to have it on the ankle and it was a NO GO... I didn't mind thought because when we go out I wear a few bracelets and watch and you don't even see it. It does hurt like hell though when the kids hold on around your neck and scratch up your sun-burned shoulders!!! OUCH

Sandos evidently lets you choose the ankle option: http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/h...arisailing.jpg

Guess I must be missing the point. If you want the band off your wrist because it has the potential to injure you, okay, I can see that as a reason. But if you feel wearing a wristband somehow sets you up as a special "target" for shopkeepers and vendors, you're kidding yourself. If you've got a pulse, they've got you in their sights, wrist band or not.

I sure hope they will let me wear my bracelet on my ankle. I will be arriving in Playa on August 9th and I am getting married on August 14th. I don't want to get a tan line in the first couple of days. I tan really fast and I don't want goofy looking pictures for our wedding. I am staying at The Royal. Does anyone know their policy on this?
Thanks in advance!
