Yes, What Dpreefer said. Between my piss poor spanish and pointing it gets done. They have been putting a new papala on Playa Maya so I haven't had thiers this trip. Carts at the bus station to answer your other question

Isn't there a little "hole in the wall" taco place next to El Emporio on the North end of town? Just up the road from Cueva del Chango? Is that place good for a quick bite on the way to the beach? We'll most likely be staying at Arena Blanca again this year and since this is right next door, that could be very fortuitous.....

I was in Playa this week and had my usual duty of checking out new places recommended by peeps. I was looking forward to trying Aguachiles which I understood was on 34th between 10th and 30th. I drove this 3 times but could not find it. Can you give correct location so that I can try it out.

Our vote is for the Shrimp Tacos at Dr. Taco!! We HAVE to go there several times whenever we visit. It's on 10th.

They are great, but you gotta try the shrimp burger! Melted crispy cheese and a lot of shrimp. One of the best things I have ever eaten, anywhere! Plus Carlos is a very nice guy. Try some of his mezcal.

Fusion Hotel has some lovely shrimp tacos, although we were last there 2 years ago.

I definitely will give it a try! It sounds delicious! What is mezcal? (probably something out of the "salsa sink"?!!)

I just got back home sunday. I tried many shrimp tacos, think la Pesca had best fried shrimp Tacos. Probably have to go with Playa Maya for grilled. My wife and I both thought Carboncitos had the best coconut shrimp. Carboncitos gets our overall best restaurant vote. Pumpkin seed salsa was excellent. All were good.

Well, it's 2011 folks!! Let's update this thread...

Where do YOU find the best shrimp tacos in Playa? Fried, grilled, coated in coconut...however you like them.

Let's hear it!
