Speaking of off beaten places, when I was in Playa del Carmen last year we came upon a hole in the wall place where locals purchased different types of meat. At the entrance was a big grill. You could eat there (only a few tables) and they encouraged you to write on the walls. The walls were full of sayings, peoples names, drawings, etc. One of the owners handed me a marking pen, slid me a chair and pointed to the wall. The different types of meat they prepared, along with potatoes etc was absolutely wonderful. I am returning the first week of May and would love to find this place again. Anyone know what the place is called, where it is located?
I'd appreciate any help. Thanks June
