Hey, is the beach and you don't need to dress fancy in Playa. If you are able to document all your bags in the plane, so you will be able to do on the bus. Take a look a the picture, the bottom part between the axis is devoted to luggage. But my best advice, leave half the clothes at home, you won't use them anyway. Enjoy! |

sorry for my spanish... i'm squeezing in all i can to practice while i have mucho exposure. in ingles... i took the ADO today. so simple. i'm kicking myself for not knowing in the past two trips, one which was last June. That's like $120-$150 in shuttles! on the other hand, our bus left terminal 3 at 4:30, and out of terminal 2 at 4:45. Not quite the 4:45 departure from terminal 3 from another site I found explaining how to take ADO. |

Does the bus stop at many places between Airport and Playa? I have always taken a private van but might do the bus this time. Especially if the travel time is relatively similar
Looks like I found my answer. Only stops at Puerto Morelos? Last edited by Bandit13; 11-20-2008 at 01:24 AM.. Reason: add |

Que te diviertas en tus vacaciones. For the departures, I would suggest you try to get to T2 in case the bus just left, hopefully the shuttle is around or you can ask the ADO guy to hold the bus for you and do a fast walk to catch it. |

As for the stop, it did make one odd stop by one of the big resorts, but on the side road/exit of the hwy, and nothing more than 5 minutes. But that was it. It was about 30 mins once it departed the airport. Measuring departure and arrival, it was only 50 mins. That is either the same or shorter than the shared shuttles, because the last two times I've taken those there were at least 3-4 stops at different resorts before I got to Playa del Carmen. and each stop is probably 10 mins with the checking/validating of entering the resort, dropping them off, and leaving.

one word of warning....on our trip back the bus stopped at treminal 2 and removed all the luggage...then we realized we were flying out of 3. If that happens take the shuttle to 3 it's a really long walk with luggage.
