Question ATM Machines at Grand Riviera Princess/Grand Sunset Princess

I was wondering if anyone using the ATM machines at the Grand Riviera Princess or Grand Sunset Princess, can tell me if the machines have the 'PLUS LOGO' on it?? I understand that in order for me to use my CIBC 'convenience card' the ATM machine must have that Logo on it.
If the ATM machines don't have this logo could someone advise me of a Bank in Playa del Carmen which I could go to in order to use the ATM service. I believe there is a Scotia bank there that I could use.
Hoping someone on this Forum can help me with this situation. Much thanks!!

I know there is an ATM right when you walk in- to the left of the check-in desk (on the Sunset side) and it gives you your money in pesos. My sister mentioned she needed cash while we were booking an excursion with our APPLE rep and he advanced her credit card with US cash. That said we never used it so I'm not sure it it has the logo.

There is definitely an ATM machine in the lobby and I used it, but I don't know if that logo was on it. Sorry! I suggest you email the concierge and ask.

Question

kc-to-playa: Thank you so much for your response. As suggested, I have, indeed, emailed the Resort, so hopefully I will be hearing from them shortly. I was just hoping that someone on this Forum could advise me sooner.
Have a great day!!

Don't know about the logo's....but be advised this machine 'sucks' your ATM card in during transactions, so don't forget to retrieve your card before walking off. One member of our party forgot this and the machine ate his card!

Question

moppi: I'm so sorry to hear that your Friend's card got 'eaten' by the ATM machine.
I'm starting to think that I won't be using my card at all. I'll just bring cash & a credit card.
Has anyone else experienced this problem with the ATM machine at the Grand Riviera/Grand Sunset Resort?

Keep in mind that credit cards are not widely accepted apparently, so finding an ATM is important. I have heard that there are several Scotia banks, but I'm not sure where they are located. That is...if you are in town. At your resort I assume you could use a cc for excursions.

Question

mamacita: Yes, we do plan in going into Playa a few times during our stay. I was speaking with a representative from my Debit card company & he advised that I could use the Scotiabank Inverlat, at the corner of 5thAve. & Juarez, in Playa.

Thanks for your advice. It is much appreciated.

There's a website...

There's a website where you can search: ATM Locator
