Driving/Renting a Car Solo
I am off to Playa in 12 days! Yeah! I am renting a car and was wondering if anyone has any pointers/tips/advice for driving/parking/etc... in the area? I will be driving from CUN to Playa and then doing some day trips to Chichen, Coba, Ek Balam, Tulum. Any pointers on routes would be helpful, too! Thanks!

Please when in Playa do NOT park the car on the road where there is a yellow sign on the sidewalk....they will give you a ticket, or take your plate off

no real pointers except be careful.
oh...and with that rental car sticker on your car, you will be a target for the aggressive policia. Drive the spend limit and you should be fine. And read THIS - right here on this site just for you

Parking in Playa is getting worse every day. We've taken to using the paid parking lots every so often, but the one we wanted last time was chained shut and FULL!
Sometimes, I think it might just be better to park in the Walmart lot and walk wherever you need to go, rather than wasting time looking for a spot.
