Sorry 'bout that - I wasn't very clear. I meant that when/while living in Playa, to send their son to school on a French island if continuing his education in French is a priority to them, because those islands are closer to Playa than Quebec.

No apology necessary - after your post, I re-read my post - and I was as clear as mud. I just thought that as they said they were France French, sending their son to a island of French "possession" would facilitate a faster and possibly more often commute. I know I'd like that if I made the difficult decision to both move and stay the course in my child's educational direction. I work in a French Immersion school in Ontario and took a month long Spanish course in Cuernavaca. I love both languages, both cultures..... both foods!
