Here is my recipe for Sangria from when I was stationed in Spain ( We tended to party a lot )
1 new 33 gallon plastic trash can with lid
5 pounds of sugar
1.75 liter of any of the following: Cognac, vodka, Rum
.5 lbs sliced limes
.5 lbs sliced oranges
.5 lbs sliced lemons.
Cover and let sit overnight
20-30 lbs of ice
1 lb sliced bananas
fill with inexpensive red wine ( we used to get it delivered from the bodega in 50 liter baskets )
Stir
Serve in plastic cups ( glass breaks when they start dropping them)
You will have to adjust the mixture to your container - enjoy
