Wow...so sorry to hear this....the good news is that it will reveal the amazing resiliency of people , their strength in the face of amazing challenges, and the power of individual effort AND community as folks work together to bring life back to a semblance of normalcy....best wishes to all of y'all.

Appearently we had the same system
roll thru the Des Moines metro area Monday around 5:00 am. Power flickered at home but didn't go out. Thought I read that 10,000 lost power in the state. Suburbs to the northeast got heavy damage from the wind. We've had bad weather since last November. Towns still recovering from flooding and a couple tornados. Life in the midwest. It does bring people together. I believe Iowans, as a whole are some of the most caring, friendly people I've ever met. ![]() Hang in there TJ. Craig.

UPDATE:
Power workers are slowly getting everyone up and running, now at 50,000 people without power. I am still without power at my house, lost everything in my fridge, deep freezer, but we are working through all this. I am staying with a friend who has power. We are keeping our hopes up that all power is up by the end of the week. |
