I mow, edge and weed whack ours. Takes about 2 hours if I do all three. I just consider it a good worlout. (Plus I am too cheap to pay someone). I hired a neighbor kid to do it once while we were gone and when I came back I found out he only did the front yard. His reply was "Oh you wanted the back done too?" Sorry that I paid him up front.

Okay, you guys need to chime in on this...
Seems that I have a coworker that comes into my office on Mon. and says, "you've flown into Cancun, right?" My response, well, yeah. He is wanting to take a long weekend down there. He was in the process or divorce and they are trying to work it out, they have three kids. I tell him about Playa, Tankah, Akumal, and he doesn't want to drive. There are collectivos and busses? He doesn't know yet. Question, should I turn him to here or not? I have only known him for about a year and a half. But I told sctx, that would be like turning over to my personal space!
I am thinking I should just pass off info, like if he want to do an ai, go to Playa, they have transfers, and you can get with Paulo, great diving, and can walk around where you want. Am I just a freak, or does anyone feel like that too? |

Well, as far as I know yes. He moved to NB about a year or so ago, "going through a divorce". Now, the sold the house in H town and just bought another one there, he's trying to keep the family together, and I admire that. Just don't know if I even want him on here, even the plethra of info. That is my point. A lot of you RRF are real special, and don't want it different.

You're not a freak. I'd have the same reservations about turning someone on to this site who I deal with on a level other than as a close friend.
I'd recommend that you NOT clue him into Playa.Info in this regard. Ask him what he wants to know, research it for him, and provide him with the information. Oh. And I mow my own lawn. Right now I'm enjoying it as part of the whole "I just bought my first house last September" thing. AND... it is a great workout. I don't always do the weed-whackin' thing, as I'm a little bit afraid of the contraption (been hit in the face a couple of times by flying debris). Actually, I want to go find our plastic face shield for the next time I do give it another try. Unless David (Gasman) permanently takes over that task. I'd much rather mow that weed-whack. |

When I was house-hunting, I wanted a yard "large enough to accommodate a badminton net but not so large that I'd need to buy a riding lawnmower".
Mine is a walk-behind self-propelled. Brandy new this spring. It's a Troybuilt with a Honda motor. Starts on the first or second pull each time. But now with the way the lawns are burning up around here, lawnmowing hasn't been too much of an issue. ![]()
