Question for big wally or anyone in the know on rpdc rooms
We are heading down this saturday so i though i would be ahead of the curve and call the resort to see if they already received our infomation and have a comfirmation number for me, which they did. i spoke to a woman named veronica who was more than helpful. i began to tell her how this is my third trip to the royal and the first two times i didnt get my ocean view room until the 2nd or 3rd day. she told me she would go ahead and put me down for room 237, but cant guarantee it until 48 hours before, but said 99% sure i would get it. my question is after this long explanation is, does room 237 have a large or small balcony? Last time i stayed in room 238 and it had a large balcony. can you or anyone help me with this?

349 is closer to the beach, 237 is further away but angled to face the beach more. Both are close to the pool - 349 right in front and 237 at the very top edge more toward the lobby
Honestly, I really don't think it matters. They're both good rooms and chances are, you'll not be in the room that much for it to make an overwhelming difference. |

Just now replied via PM, but here's what I wrote. If you can now get 349, 349 is a no brainer because it does have the full shade and your hammock.....
"350, eh? Well I believe that some of the rooms that are only covered by a patio cover/pergola don't have a hammock, and instead have sun beds. In looking at the picture below, I don't think I see a hammock hanging on that balcony (but this is the only picture I have of that particular block of rooms): ![]() What would put my wife (and thus me) off this particular room would be the lack of full shade coverage when the sun was high in the sky. Here is an approxomation of the view you could expect (picture taken from room 352):"

We stayed in room 355. It had the largest style patio with hammock. It is the last room next to the big tree decoration above the swim up bar.
Great view and because it is fully covered it had pretty good shade. My top choice for a return trip. |

larry....not really questioning the view from 237, just compare and contrasting it to 349. When I stayed in 239 i thought the view was awesome. I just didnt want to jump on 237 if someone with first hand knowledge says 349 is the better room.
