What YOU should do with so much money is: book a trip to North Carolina in september... (and then another one to Paris).

I just love it when Andiline speaks of a wonderful trip to North Carolina in September to our Inn and a trip to Paris in the same sentence!

We do have great food and wine here...and beautiful scenery....and Linda is French...!

We went on a lovely trip to Germany a while back..visited walled cities and spectacular castles on the Romantic Road in Bavaria, took trips down the wonderful Rhine River and Mosul River, visited with great friends in Cologne...and more....

I think if I hit the lottery I might repeat that trip....well okay, since my daughter lives in Germany, and Andrea lives in Germany, and Joana lives in Germany and I haven't visited Tony in a long time and he has a hot new girl friend...well, maybe I will go on that trip even if I don't hit the lottery.

Great question which I think about every time I buy a MegaMillion ticket:
  • gather up and pay off college debt for anyone in my family
  • endow scholarships (anonymously) maybe a few students students based on the criteria of strength of character and just because I like them
  • give a nice chunk my favorite local food bank whose admin costs are ridiculously low

No doubt build myself a comfortable small home (with a guest cottage and pool) - nothing fancy - on a waterfront lot probably in Islamorada.

Pay off my condo, keep my day job (because I love it) and just take more time off and smell the roses.

Pay off my childrens mortagages so they can have it a little easier.
Spend my winters in Playa and my summers here in B.C.but stil do lots of traveling.
Then I would make sure my children would be looked after after I am gone also my new granddaughter and would propably looks for good places to help out with whatever they needed.
Oh how wonderful this would be.

I suspect we would accelerate our plans to retire.

Travel more widely -

Portugal, Spain, Italy, Yugoslavia

The British Isles

Australasia and the South Pacific

Central Europe

Houses in Merida and Portland

Administrative Assistant - someone has been pre-offered the job
Who knows, really

Set my Mother and one of my brother's up for life.
Pay off my house and buy a new car.
Give generously to animal rescue groups.

And I will make sure you get the special reserve tasting tour in each hacienda.
I guess it will take many many months of tasting to give a verdict,

And I know what I'm talking about. Have some connections. Two years ago, one of this mini-barrels was delivered to the owner of Cirque du Soleil.

Salud!!

We just got home from the horses races and Don won $123 on a Triactor...does that count?

Let's see, what would we do....that is easy because we talk and daydream about this often. Not because we are unhappy or dissatisfied, and maybe money doesn't necessarily make you happy, but it sure would go a long way towards improving our day to day lifestyle- just to be able to afford to do and go anywhere you want and not work full time- of course that would be great!

We would give a schwack of it away to family and friends, in the form of gifts- pay off mortgages, buy cars and trips, etc.

A big chunk to charity to ease our consciences for the future hedonistic lives we are gong to live. (Maybe buy us some carbon credits, eh Jacko?)

We would invest a large chunk, in the market and as property- let's see- a ski chalet in Whistler....a fancy cabin here in Saskatchewan at Waskesiu Lake.....a swanky penthouse condo here in Saskatoon with river and city views (wouldn't want to move away, we'd want to keep the same friends)....and maybe a yacht ....I think we would have to spend the largest part of the first couple years just travelling first class and seeing the world, then decide what to do from there.
