Real-world fuel economy

In my experience, EPA numbers are pretty screwy. I thought it would be interesting for folks to tell us what they are really getting.

I'll start.

2002 Mazda Protege ES

Actual mileage:

Highway = 28.5
City = 25

I try to keep a pretty close eye on every tank to see what I'm getting (i.e. always fill all the way up, reset the odometer every tank). I do it more-so so that when it starts to dip down, I know something is wrong and it's time to start paying attention to other things internally.

Interested to see what others are getting...

City - 17 HWY mid-20's

Had a 1994 Mazda Protege that regularly did low 30's in my daily commute and mid-high 30's on the highway

Hmmm... it appears that only men are responding on this thread. What does that say? I know all I can tell you about my gas mileage is that it is nowhere near good enough.

Got really good on the way to NC last year, so let's say 27 hwy. approx. But, I still get at least 25-26 around here.

I came so close to getting a Titan, but now glad I didn't my sis says hers is about 16.
