Doctor Killed on Antigua Honeymoon

ST JOHN'S, Antigua (July 28) -- A British doctor was killed and her newlywed husband critically wounded in an apparent robbery at a beach hotel in Antigua, officials in the Caribbean island said Monday.
At least one gunman entered their cottage at Coco's Hotel before dawn Sunday and shot Catherine and Benjamin Mullany, Police Commissioner Gary Nelson said

The scarry part is the poll that was part of this story said that 13% of respondents (8,338people) said that they had been robbed while on vacation. I would have to say that I have never felt uneasy while on vacation. Do you think this is a reasonable number?

Maybe you need to do a poll to see how many have been robbed on vacation in their own country! I've never been robbed or felt threatened in Mexico but had our vehicle broke into while visiting my sister in Sherwood Park.
While on vacation we don't carry alot of money or anything that would be worth robbing us. I'd be curious to know if those that have been robbed do. This couple being doctors, would be prime targets for anyone who knew what they do for a living. Robbers might assume they had alot of cash or jewellery with them.
I wonder too if robbers look at attire while seeking out their targets. The fancier the clothes the more apt to have money. (we're safe
