Poor bear

I don't know what to say about this. In northern MN, a bear got a plastic jar stuck on its head and the police finally ended up shooting it.

Oh, that is SO sad! Couldn't they just have used a tranquilzer gun and gotten the dang thing off, then put the bear (along with some food and water!) in a place he could wake up peacefully?

This is a sad ending but from the article it sounds as if the tranq gun WAS their first choice but they never had the chance. Poor thing couldn't eat or drink for several days. It's possible they saved him from longer suffering. Another innocent animal dies because of our plastic trash.
