Stabbing on a Greyhound
Me thinks my hubby is glad he can't do any firefighting work for now with his chemo, he would have been at this call last night. It would have freaked me out, beeg time. It's hard to imagine it, don't want to either.

I dunno what he had but I'm sooooo thankful, Glenn is on the DL & kid #1 isn't doing any of it for now & kid #2 is due to be a junior firefighter this fall although I would hope they would have had sense enough to get him back to town when they realized what was going on. Scary crap I tell ya.

He's doing great with everything but the hand & foot syndrome. He can't work right now as he's on his feet & uses his hands all the time, if he had an office job, maybe but not electrical. He was to start his last cycle today but it's built up a little too much so they are waiting a week then he'll do the last cycle. If they want more, it'll have to wait as he needs to get back to work, the 2 we have are keeping up admirably but it's getting backed up pretty good. Thanks for asking.

I hardly think a random act of violence by an obviously very disturbed person is indicative of the nation going to hell in a handbasket
....things like this happen all over the world from time to time. On the positive side, if he had a handgun, think of how many more innocent people may have died. At least knives are limiting in that sense. |

Thank god he just didn't start stabbing anyone and everyone as the tried to get off the bus. This story is disturbing though. It's like he was holding the head in his hands like a trophy or a prize or something....ewwww

Our family farm was just east of Bagot corner a few miles - mostly grew up in town in later years.
I just read that the victim apparently was sleeping or at least listening to his I-pod - wonder how loud his music was? On the city bus in the morning , I sometimes want to slap some guys up side the head - the volume on their ipod is so loud the whole bus can hear it. But this would be way over the top. What a tragic thing to have happen - there were small kids on the bus too. |
