I can actually spot and name more shoe brands/styles than my wife can, and she's a shoe fiend!

I sold women's shoes at Macy's (well, Marshall Fields when I was there). I'm one of the few guys that can go shoe shopping for my wife for her birthday, and she doesn't have to take them back

It was the easiest money I've ever made. They pretty much sell themselves...I just had to bring the right size, smile, and I got a commission.

I don't know how many times a woman would sit down with one pair of boots, and I'd bring a few different ones just in case, and she'd end up leaving with them all...

I am one of those suckers. But I don't do it anymore...it's hard for a shoe addict like me. It goes back to my childhood. It was difficult to find shoes that fit me because I had big wide feet. So, I was stuck with tennis shoes until my mom found this great store that had children's shoes in large sizes. The shoe saleslady would bring out a couple pairs of shoes for us to look at and my mom would usually buy both pairs. She was a pennypincher except when it came to shoes.
Got me thinking about Al Bundy.

That was the worst part of it. Luckily, the majority of women actually didn't want any help putting them on upon offering, they usually just wanted more shoes brought to them while they were checking out one pair in the mirror.

Surprisingly, though, it seemed that many women came in with very clean and well taken care of feet, like they got their feet ready just to try on shoes...

Yep, thought about him everyday when I was punching in

But it was definitely one of the best paying part time jobs I've ever had.
