Hi Sue! Hi Trish!

My mom was up last night and we all had a nice supper of BBQed chicken breast on Kaiser buns with mayo and cucumber and BBQ sauce, and salad. We made her eat two burgers, as she is so sick for around ten days after each chemo treatment that she is just not eating, she is losing too much weight.

I'm sorry about your mom, Riss.

Man, I'm getting fat! I keep telling myself not to worry too much about it right now, that at least I'm healthy.

You are lucky you are feeling that well. Weird how people all react differently to the chemo drugs ....she has her treatments every two weeks and starting two days afterward she feels like crap for 7-10 days....so she has maybe 4-6 days every chemo cycle where she feels human. When she does have an appetite she eats like a horse though! (we gave her a little something for her appetite last night to take home )

we watched two movies this weekend, Pineapple Express (ugh, not funny) and Role Models (very funny! )

Well, everyone has a different chemo cocktail that they have to take and the different drugs affect people differently. I hear also that as you grow older, chemo is much harder on your body. That's cool that you gave her a little something. It's even cooler that she accepted it.

I thought Pineapple Express would be good! That's a bummer. Funny, but I thought Role Models looked dumb. I guess I'm probably completely wrong about both, huh?

I was surprised she took it, that tells me how desperate she is to try anything to see if she can feel better on those days.

You might think the exact opposite as we did about those movies, who knows! We seriously roared during Role Models. But I love Paul Rudd and the woman from 40 Year Old Virgin was in it too and she is so funny!

I heart Paul Rudd, too. He's one of my movie star boyfriends. Sooooo cute.

I especially loved him in that movie where he was gay and Jennifer Aniston and he were friends and going to raise her baby together? That was a cute movie.

My brother and his wife came over on Saturday night. Beforehand, we did a THOROUGH spring cleaning of the house, which is awesome, because now everything is so nice and clean - under radiators and everything.

They brought an organic, free-range chicken over. They rubbed it in olive oil, sea salt and a little coarse black pepper and put it in the roaster. After awhile, they added some fingerling potatoes. Oh, man, was it good. We also had a green salad with homemade vinegrette with tarragon. It was such a good meal. That chicken and those potatoes that roasted in the chicken drippings....so delicious.

And I made a great chocolate cake. I was so worried about it turning out because it was kind of complicated but it worked out perfectly. It was dense and rich without being too sweet. My brother said it was "restaurant" good and that it was better than any cake he's ever made.

We also drank three bottles of wine! The food was good, the wine was good, the company was good. The house was clean. What a great evening!

I didn't see that one. When I told my friend that he was my movie star boyfriend, she said he was "swishy." I disagree.

swishy as in effeminate? Maybe she is thinking of him in that movie with Aniston! I think he is more dishy than swishy, for sure. Although he is not as manly/hunky as Gerard Butler, he is more 'my type'.

That supper sounds delicious. I love those little nugget potatoes! I have a bag in the fridge and we will eat them with our steak on our new BBQ tonight.

We have been doing some spring cleaning too on weekends....I love a sparkling clean house, top to bottom...I sleep better, I feel more relaxed, etc. I watch that 'How Clean is your House?' show and it depresses me that people could live in filth like that. Granted that show is pretty extreme cases!

Swishy as in effeminate. I just think he's CUTE.

You wouldn't believe how much fur and dust we cleaned out of the house. Eek!

I hear you on the fur....some days I am tempted to shave my cats, or dip them in a big vat of Nair.

I thought Pineapple express was pretty funny, better than Tropical thunder. I watched Rob Roy on HULU.com

Great movie.

So, good morning everyone

Random thought:

Ginger or Maryanne

Jen or Angelina

Paris or Kim

Rosie or Ellen

Whoopi or anyone else

Girls answer too.
