I just wanna give Sue a big ((((((hug)))))) and make her some nice tea. Or a stiff drink. Whatever she wants.

Hope you can get this figured out really soon, honey. Sure sounds like it's sucking BIG time for you, and you're one of the GOOD guys. You don't deserve to have things sucking that bad!!!

I'd say 3-5 days, probably. But the best way to tell is to sniff it. As my mom would say, "When in doubt, throw it out."

What do you have that you're questionning?? I know turkey gets "weird" and slimy when it's too old....

But remember the rule, if it goes bad in the fridge, you have to make someone else smell it before discarding.

You will get sick, silly.

does it have a date stamp somewhere?

it can last for quite a while, some of it.

is it green? Sniff it- does it pass the sniff test? That is all I do.

I will eat deli roast chicken that has been in the fridge almost a week. What doesn't kill you just makes you stronger.

I don't throw anything away unless it smells bad, looks bad, feels slimy, or tastes just wrong. If it passes all those tests, I'll eat it, no matter how old it is. When I got back from 2 weeks in the states, I had a huge container of grilled chicken breasts that I had meant to put in the freezer the day I left. But there they were down below. Argh. However, they passed all the tests and I ate every one of them and they tasted great and caused me no problems. I'm a frugal old chick.

I think people throw away FAR too much food in the US that is still perfectly edible.
