Hot or cold for elbow pain? I'm pretty sure I have arthritis from my fall over a year ago. The cortisone shot totally wears off after a couple months. My ortho doc did a test to see if I have arthritis and I cancelled the appt. to get the results because I don't want to know. I might as well get some ben-gay and start carrying Werther's hard candies in my pocket.

I use cold if it seems swollen or inflammed. Heat seems to help more with stiffness.
