[quote..Mogley,why the stormtrooper on the toilet avi, just a big Star Wars fan with a good sense of humour, or what?[/quote]
Just a random image that I googled up, I love all sci-fi, but not a star wars freak or anything.

And almost no one who lives here has/uses air-conditioning. So... why aren't we all dead? Is it just acclimatization?
I often wonder the other way about people that live in cold areas (-40 ) Why more of them don't freeze? I think most heat related deaths would have to do with the quality of houseing, kinda like leaving a dog in the car.
Random thoughts:
In the not to distant future there will be an exact moment when the last existing survivor of the holocaust will no longer be alive.

When I saw the contagion mentality after 9/11 I was scared.

Some do. Usually poor older people who have their heat cut off because they didn't pay their gas bill, and they find them in popsicle form days later. But we don't have too many homeless people here, because of the cold winters. They all head to Vancouver where they can live on the street year round.

This isn't really a random "thought" but it's kind of random. A 97 year old woman was saved from a fire when her squalling cat woke her up. READ HERE

My favorite part of the story was this though:
Quote:
[Grace] George ran toward the street in the rain, and flagged down the third car she saw.

"Thank God it was a lady," she said. "All I had on was bikini underwear and a tank top."
OMG!!! She's 97!!! You go, Grace!

My random thought of the moment ~ I went to Chedraui yesterday. I got so excited when I saw fried chicken TV dinners in the freezer case . Brought back many fond memories of being babysat and being a babysitter. I loved TV dinners when I was young. I bought 2 and hurried home to heat them up for lunch. Sad moment ~ you can't go back in time. The TV dinner was GROSS. I can still taste it today ~ a combination of aluminum foil and cardboard. Yuck!
