We just went for a little ride into te city and hit a storm on the way home....I got beaned by a few hail pellets (small, thankfully) and the bike was getting blown around pretty good.

Not raining in my town today

Tonight is our Fireworks deal.
I "believe" it is the largest in North America.
I'm sure I'll be corrected.
(On the river between the U.S. and Canada) Very cool display...always.

I'm hunkered down with the medicated doggy in the family room

What's wrong with your doggy?

He's old.
15.

Fireworks etc upset him, so Gravol is his friend. Odd. It doesn't wipe him out like it would me. He just gets a wee bit "mellow".

The fireworks display here used to be put on by Hudson's. It was huge.
Tens of thousands of people will hit out little river front tonight. We stay home

So they found 12 bodies in a cenote near Cancun. Mexico needs to open up a can of whoop ass on this. I know they are doing a lot but when it starts hitting near the tourist areas. It is getting to a point wher innocent bystanders are becoming collateral damage.
Won't stop me from coming tho.

I would stay home too....not a big fan of crowds.

Can you see them from your backyard, at least? Can you SIT outside this year there...the skeeters are unbearable after dusk here...at least it stays light until 10:30 or so!

Sorry about your old doggy.
